The Xerox DocuColor 8000ap meets the heavy production requirements of in-plant and commercial environments. This machine supports unified digital and offset printing along with production of catalogs, manuals, newsletters, books, presentations, brochures, mixed-media and variable information jobs. This digital press is suitable for handling business challenges like industry convergence and tighter registration. A tight +/- 0.5mm front-to-back registration is one of its many engineering advancements.

Depending on the nature of the job, one can choose from two modes of operation in the Xerox DocuColor 8000ap – the All Weights mode and the Single Weight mode. These modes result in output with enhanced matte and glossy appearance respectively. Additionally, using the All Weights Mode, print providers can achieve superior image quality for a greater number of applications, running the press at its maximum speed of 80 ppm. This is possible irrespective of the type of media or weight of paper (up to 300 gsm).

The range of media which the DocuColor 8000ap can handle is quite wide and includes uncoated paper, coated paper, and transparencies. This DocuColor supports a maximum media dimension of 12.6” x 19.2” and involves no need to stop the system when loading fresh toner cartridges. A print resolution of 2400 x 2400 x 1 dpi results in color consistency and text that is sharp and crisp. Xerox Productivity Plus feature ensures longer uptime and provides for control over productivity and image quality. The New Corotron Cleaning Assembly ensures that the corotron wires are always clean, enhancing the image quality.
