Xerox DocuTech 100

The Xerox DocuTech 100 is one of the first black-and-white mid-production machines (the other machine being the DocuTech 120). It is also one of the first black-and-white systems to employ the superior DocuColor iGen3 SmartPress Imaging technology; and to incorporate the first superior quality, speedy double head scanner on a printer/copier and the first inbuilt CD/DVD having CD read-write potentiality on a production printer/copier. Based on advanced modular architecture, the Docutech 100 has been designed to meet the print job requirements of quick print shops, large enterprises, and in-plant central reprographic departments. It can handle print jobs that require short runs, offset-like print quality, variable data and fast turnaround.

The Xerox DocuTech 100 can be reloaded even when in operation and doesn't make much noise. It runs with an amazing print speed of 100ppm (print or copy mode) and 1200 dpi resolution, has an average monthly print capacity of 500,000 pages, and a constant monthly duty cycle of up to 700,000 pages. Non-toxic dry inks make this mid-production system eco-friendly as well. Along with SmartPress Imaging Technology, the DT 100 incorporates other iGen3 innovations like SmartPress Sentry and SmartPress Paper Handling.

A control system in the Docutech 100 achieves 750,000 registration calculations per second and helps to ensure unrivaled image quality. The DT 100 has just one integrated interface. Its eight programmable trays can be fed up to 11600 sheets, with weights between 16 lb. bond to 80 lb. cover, and sized a maximum of 12.2" x 18.5".
